SEOUL, South Korea – Stephan Czypionka, Global Chief Marketing Officer at CJ CheilJedang Foods in South Korea, has been appointed as the President of the Grand Executive Jury for the 2024 Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards. In this role, Czypionka will oversee the selection of the grand prix winners, as well as the platinum Tambuli and Tambuli Company of the Year, which are the highest honors bestowed by this prestigious award show.
The Tambuli Awards, now in its 18th edition, is organized by the University of Asia and the Pacific’s School of Media and Marketing in collaboration with industry professionals. It recognizes the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and sustainability programs of businesses and brands that prioritize purposeful performance.
Czypionka expressed his excitement about being a part of the Tambuli Awards, stating that he felt a strong alignment with the community’s values, particularly in showcasing marketing as a force for good. As the President of the Grand Jury, he is keen to guide discussions on how the entries have tangibly improved lives, and he acknowledges the immense potential for the recognized work to create positive ripples throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Other distinguished individuals presiding over the Tambuli Awards include Gladys Co Chan, Head of Marketing for Visa in Southeast Asia, who leads the Executive Jury for the Champions for Humanity categories. Teejae Sonza, Group Marketing Director for Coca-Cola in ASEAN and South Pacific, has been named President of the Builders of Society Executive Jury. Shiv Choudhury, Partner and Managing Director, is overseeing the Executive Jury for the Leaders for Sustainability and Corporate Purpose. Anelle Villanueva, Country Head of Nutrition at Unilever Philippines, is leading the Young Marketing Leaders of the Year Executive Jury.
The Tambuli Awards is currently accepting entries for 2024, with an early bird rate available for submissions made by March 22. The awards ceremony will be held on June 4 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig, Philippines.
