FEMWORX Jury Nominates Four Exceptional Women for Engineer Woman Award, Recognizing Their Remarkable Contributions to STEM

Hannover, Germany – The Engineer Woman Award, presented annually at the HANNOVER MESSE event, has announced its four female finalists. The winner of this esteemed award, honoring exceptional contributions to scientific and technical fields, will be revealed on April 25 at the opening of the FEMWORX Career Congress. The independent jury, made up of members of the FEMWORX Congress Advisory Board, selected these outstanding women from a pool of numerous applicants.

The purpose of the Engineer Woman Award is to inspire companies to acknowledge and advance the achievements and unique dedication of their female employees in STEM professions. The nominees have demonstrated exceptional commitment and expertise in their respective fields.

Among the four accomplished women vying for the Engineer Woman Award, we have Sheila Beladinejad, who holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Bordeaux. With over two decades of experience in the tech industry, she serves as an AI expert, guiding investors in endeavors such as start-up acquisitions. Sheila Beladinejad is also the founder and chairwoman of Women in AI and Robotics Germany e.V. (WAIR), where she actively promotes women’s careers through various initiatives and programs.

Another nominee, Yvonne Groth, studied agricultural sciences and environmental protection at the University of Rostock. She has been a driving force in her role as the Managing Director of Dornier Construction und Service GmbH, with extensive involvement in advancing women’s careers. Yvonne Groth founded the Welcome Center Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, aiding women new to or returning to the Mecklenburg Lake District in finding employment and fostering skilled workers. Additionally, she organizes networking lunches for female executives and actively participates in academia/business collaboration.

Dr.-Ing. Sabrine Khadhraoui, originally from Tunisia, completed her studies in International Engineering and earned a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen. Sabrine Khadhraoui has been an integral part of the SMS Group, a global company specializing in metallurgical and rolling mill technology since 2011. She holds six patents for innovative processes and methods that enhance recyclability, energy and material efficiency, and reduce the ecological footprint. Sabrine Khadhraoui is actively involved in promoting diversity and intercultural awareness in the workplace.

Frauke Reinders, with a background in chemical engineering from the Technical University Dortmund, has been the Head of Sustainability Management at Phoenix Contact Electronics GmbH since 2022. Her focus is on gender equality, and she is an active member of the ing’enious network for women in technical professions at Phoenix Contact. Frauke Reinders also dedicates her time to projects aimed at promoting STEM subjects in schools and daycare centers, including a guidance pack for kindergartens that contains 50 science and technology experiments.

The FEMWORX Career Congress for Women in Industry, in its 21st iteration, is set to dazzle attendees with two days of inspiration and stories showcasing female leadership in the STEM sector. Taking place within the broader HANNOVER MESSE event, this congress provides a valuable opportunity for networking and discussion.
