HOUSTON — Norton Rose Fulbright, a prominent global law firm, announced the appointment of Justin VandenBout as a partner in the firm’s Houston office. VandenBout, a seasoned litigation attorney, will join Norton Rose Fulbright’s Products, Pharma, Medical and Mass Tort practice team, bringing a depth of experience in handling complex litigation across multiple states.

Previously with Chamberlain Hrdlicka, VandenBout has managed a diverse litigation practice that spans several areas, including commercial and product liability litigation, insurance coverage, and mass tort litigation. He has skillfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous high-stakes proceedings across the United States, extending his expertise to a variety of cases from environmental litigation to catastrophic personal injury and intellectual property disputes.

Recognized as a robust litigator, VandenBout has earned accolades for his legal prowess, particularly in business litigation within Texas. His career has been marked by notable successes in the courtroom and his strategic counsel has benefitted clients considerably in navigating complex legal landscapes.

Jeff Cody, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, expressed the firm’s anticipation of strengthening their litigation capabilities with VandenBout’s arrival. “Demand for our litigation practice is robust, and bringing an experienced practitioner like Justin into our team positions us well to enhance our service offerings to clients as legal disputes continue to increase,” Cody said.

Echoing Cody’s sentiments, Brett Young, the head of Norton Rose Fulright’s US Products, Pharma, Medical, and Mass Tort division, praised VandenBout’s dedication and effectiveness. Young recounted his firsthand experience working with VandenBout on a challenging industrial accident case involving multiple plaintiffs and defendants. “Justin is a tremendous and fearless advocate. His joining our team significantly fortifies our firm’s capabilities,” Young stated.

From VandenBout’s perspective, the move to Norton Rose Fulbright represents a significant step in his career. “The firm’s prominent role in handling high-profile catastrophic litigation both in the US and globally presents an incredible platform to further my practice. I am eager to contribute to a team that places a strong emphasis on impeccable client service,” VandenBout remarked.

Licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Texas, as well as federal courts in New Mexico, VandenBout brings a well-rounded academic background to his new role. He holds a law degree from South Texas College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
