Akron Men Among 25 Indicted for Drug Trafficking in Washington County Grand Jury Case

Marietta, Ohio – The Washington County Grand Jury has indicted 25 defendants this week, including three Akron men charged with drug trafficking. Danzell Larrylee Sullivan, Christopher James Shrake, and Paris Dean Timmons are facing multiple felony charges related to the possession and trafficking of fentanyl and cocaine. The three men were arrested in October 2023 during a traffic stop on Interstate 77 in Salem Township, Marietta.

During the stop, law enforcement observed lane violations and following too closely. A subsequent K9 search indicated the presence of drugs in the vehicle. Further searches revealed significant amounts of suspected fentanyl and cocaine concealed on the suspects.

In addition to the Akron men, other individuals were indicted on various charges. Chelsea Marie Curry and Joseph Franklin Wells Jr. face charges of theft and breaking and entering. Aalandiss A.J. Lynch is indicted for grand theft and passing bad checks. Jeremiah O. Casto is charged with aggravated possession of drugs and possession of a fentanyl-related compound. Noah Luke Rutter is facing charges of marijuana trafficking and endangering children. Frank Lamott Richards is indicted for possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance.

Furthermore, Jamie L. Chapman is charged with aggravated possession of drugs, and Zachary Alan Johnson is facing charges of strangulation and domestic violence. Jonathan Cole Moore and Darren Michael Mallett were indicted for failure to appear as required by recognizance. Dakota Ryan Waite is charged with aggravated possession of drugs.

Additional defendants include Charles Edward Haught III, Felisha Elizabeth Ann Casto, Corey Thomas Sapp Jr., Jerry Lee Caldwell, Deshawn Marqui Tatum, Devonn Michael Hatcher, Charles Ray Buck, Stephen Andrew Cole, David Kyle Blasingame, Ayla-Marie Satin Cox-Whealdon, and Keith Tyler Whealdon. The charges against these individuals range from drug trafficking and possession to tampering with evidence.

The indictments reflect ongoing law enforcement efforts to combat drug-related crimes in Washington County and the surrounding areas.
