DOTHAN, Ala. – The case of a Dothan man accused of murdering his friend in 2021 has now been forwarded to a grand jury in Houston County. Ty’Shauwn Bryant appeared before a judge on Friday morning for a preliminary hearing. The charges are related to the killing of Imari Glanton.
On October 1, 2021, the Dothan Police Department received a report of a firearm assault in the 700 block of Monroe Street. Imari Glanton, 22, was found dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. In addition to the murder of Glanton, Bryant is also accused of murdering 50-year-old Christina Moore on South Lena Street in Dothan. Moore was fatally shot in her home on September 6, 2020, while she was asleep.
After the murder of Moore, Bryant went on the run and was later apprehended by the U.S. Marshals on November 30, 2021, in Newnan, Georgia. He is currently awaiting trial for Moore’s murder.
