Flemington, New Jersey – A man, previously residing in Easton, has been found guilty of possession and distribution of child pornography. The verdict was delivered last week by a judge at Northampton County Court, following a trial that began on February 26th. The convict, 36-year-old Zebbelin Standish, was living in an apartment on Northampton Street at the time of his arrest in 2022. He currently resides in Flemington.
After the verdict, the prosecution successfully motioned to increase Standish’s bail, which now stands at $1 million. Standish is currently being held in Northampton County Prison, awaiting sentencing on June 12th. Neither the defense attorney nor the Senior Deputy Attorney General were available for immediate comment.
According to the police, Standish uploaded the incriminating videos in May 2022, from his former Easton apartment. After months of investigation, authorities traced him to his workplace in Hellertown, where they confiscated his phone in October 2022. In December of the same year, the phone was examined, revealing not only 300 images but also additional videos of child pornography. Standish’s lawyer, Gail Marr, denies that he uploaded the videos or intentionally stored the content on his phone.
Standish has been convicted on multiple charges, including four counts of disseminating child pornography, 50 counts of possessing child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. All charges are considered felonies.
