Mumbai, India — Hindustan Unilever’s CEO Rohit Java will chair the prestigious jury panel for the upcoming IndIAA Awards, an event celebrated for recognizing creative excellence in advertising. Organized by the India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA), the awards ceremony has gained renown for its rigorous selection process and the high caliber of its jury.
Java will be joined by an impressive group of industry leaders that include Charulata Ravikumar, Managing Director at Accenture; Geetika Mehta, Managing Director at Nivea; M R Jyothy, Managing Director at Jyothy Laboratories Ltd.; Abhinandan Lodha, Chairman at Lodha Ventures; Cecil de Santa Maria, Chief Operating Officer at ORRA; Mohit Malhotra, CEO at Dabur India Limited; and Pulkit Trivedi, Managing Director – India at Snap Inc. Their collective expertise spans a broad spectrum of the marketing and advertising industry, ensuring a diverse and holistic approach to the judging process.
Avinash Pandey, President of the IAA, expressed confidence in the jury’s ability to uphold the integrity of the awards. “An award’s value is fundamentally linked to the quality and insight of its jury. Having such a distinguished panel only amplifies the credibility and prestige of the IndIAA Awards,” Pandey noted.
The selection process for these awards is notably unique; nominees are not self-submitted but rather chosen by a panel of senior editors from the marketing communications trade media. These editors, who regularly engage with advertising content, are responsible for shortlisting the creative works that will ultimately be evaluated by the jury.
Abhishek Karnani, Chairman of the IndIAA Awards, highlighted the distinctiveness of the awards methodology. “Unlike many other awards where entries are submitted directly by participants, our process ensures that only the most noteworthy campaigns are considered, as they are initially vetted by experienced editors in the field,” Karnani explained.
The winners of the awards will be honored at a special ceremony, the grand IndIAA Awards Nite, scheduled for August 22, 2024. The event promises to be a significant occasion, celebrating the creativity and hard work of the winners alongside their teams.
