Actress Mia Goth Faces Battery Lawsuit After Allegedly Kicking Background Actor on Set of A24 Sequel

Los Angeles, California – Actress Mia Goth is facing a lawsuit for alleged battery brought by a background actor on the set of the film “MaXXXine.” James Hunter, the plaintiff, claims that Goth intentionally kicked him in the head during a scene in April of last year. According to Hunter, he was hired to play the role of a “Dead Parishioner” and endured hours on the ground covered in fake blood while Goth ran past him. In one take, she nearly stepped on him, prompting Hunter to voice his concerns to an assistant director. The lawsuit asserts that Goth then purposefully kicked him in the head with her boot during the subsequent take.

Hunter further alleges that after the incident, Goth taunted and belittled him in the bathroom, daring him to take action. He states that he felt lightheaded on his drive home and subsequently received medical confirmation of a concussion. Seeking at least $500,000 in damages, Hunter has also accused A24, the production company, as well as Goth and director Ti West, of wrongful termination. He claims that he was informed he had been cut from the film the day after the incident.

Mia Goth is known for her roles in horror films, including Ti West’s “X” and “Pearl.” The news of the lawsuit comes as she joins the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming movie “Blade.” Goth’s representatives have not yet provided a comment on the matter.

The lawsuit was first reported by TMZ and Variety. It remains to be seen how this legal battle will unfold and what implications it may have for the development of “MaXXXine” and Goth’s career.
