Music Mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces Multiple Civil Lawsuits Accusing Him of Sex Trafficking and Sexual Abuse

Los Angeles, CA – Sean “Diddy” Combs, a prominent rapper and music mogul known for his contributions to the careers of many popular artists, is now facing a series of civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and rape. The lawsuits represent a major shift in Combs’ public image and have prompted federal agents with US Homeland Security to raid two of his residences on March 25th.

Combs, formerly known by various stage names including Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, has adamantly denied all allegations against him. His legal team has dismissed the lawsuits as baseless money grabs. As of now, federal prosecutors have not formally charged or accused Combs of any crimes.

One of the lawsuits filed against Combs was by Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, his former partner. Ventura accused him of rape, physical abuse, and forcing her into unwanted sexual encounters with male sex workers. The lawsuit was settled amicably and confidentially soon after it was filed.

The allegations against Combs stretch back to the 1990s when he founded his own record label, Bad Boy Records. The lawsuits against him began in November 2023, when singer and dancer Cassie filed a lawsuit under the New York Adult Survivors Act, which provided a one-year window for adult victims of sexual assault to come forward with civil claims.

In a more recent lawsuit, producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones accused Combs of subjecting him to unwanted advances and forcing him to engage in sexual relations with sex workers. The lawsuit also alleges that Combs hosted “sex-trafficking parties” involving underage women and illegal drugs. Notably, the lawsuit mentions British royal Prince Harry as an attendee, although the prince is not accused of any wrongdoing.

Combs’ attorney has vehemently denied the allegations in this lawsuit, calling them “reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction.” Additionally, residents in the area where one of Combs’ properties was searched have spoken out about witnessing peculiar activities and parties involving multiple women.

Other women have also come forward with lawsuits alleging sexual assault by Combs. Each of these cases adds to the mounting legal challenges facing the rapper. Combs, however, remains steadfast in his denial of the accusations, vowing to fight for his name, family, and the truth.

The lawsuits against Combs highlight the enduring issue of sexual assault in the entertainment industry. Survivors have taken advantage of legal windows of opportunity to come forward with civil claims, resulting in a wave of litigation against powerful figures such as Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, and Axl Rose, in addition to Combs. As the legal battle continues, the outcome of these lawsuits will have significant implications for both Combs and the ongoing fight against sexual assault.
