Edinburg, Texas – A jury in Edinburg, Texas, has reached a guilty verdict against Victor Alejandro Godinez, a 28-year-old man, in the killing of Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Moises Sanchez. This verdict comes after more than six hours of deliberation in the death penalty trial. Sanchez was shot on April 6, 2019, and after undergoing surgery in Houston, he passed away in August.
