Houston, Texas – Bruce Prichard, Executive Director at WWE, refrained from discussing any legal matters pertaining to the company after a recent lawsuit was filed against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The lawsuit, filed by Janel Grant, alleges sexual assault and trafficking by McMahon and Laurinaitis. McMahon is currently under federal investigation for these allegations.
During a recent episode of the podcast “Something To Wrestle,” Prichard made it clear that he was not at liberty to comment on any legal matters regarding WWE. He emphasized that he could not provide any response or insight into the ongoing lawsuit.
Prichard stated, “As far as lawsuits and things of that nature, I’m not at liberty to discuss any legal matters of the company whatsoever… I’m not involved, I’m not being sued, I’m not being accused of anything. It’s a legal matter.” He further added that he couldn’t say anything more about the situation due to the company’s involvement in the lawsuit.
Additionally, Prichard mentioned that he was not instructed to refrain from discussing the lawsuit on the podcast, except that he couldn’t comment on it. He explained, “No one told me not to do anything on the podcast other than the simple fact that I work for a company that is involved in a lawsuit right now… If you work at a large company and your large company is being sued, there is very little you can say about it.”
Following the filing of the lawsuit, Vince McMahon resigned from WWE and TKO. He also issued a statement addressing the situation. However, Prichard made no further statements regarding McMahon’s resignation or the lawsuit itself.
