Jimmie Allen Drops Sexual Assault Lawsuit: All Eyes Turn to Nashville Music Management Firm

Nashville, Tennessee – Country singer Jimmie Allen has been dropped from a sexual assault lawsuit filed against him by one of his former managers. The lawsuit, which was filed in June of last year, has now been settled, with the woman dismissing Allen from the claims. However, the lawsuit is still ongoing against the management firm that employed her and its principal.

The woman’s attorneys at FeganScott confirmed the dismissal of Allen from the lawsuit, stating that both parties have reached a mutual accord and desire to move past litigation. The plaintiff will continue to pursue her claims against the management firm and its principal.

Allen’s representatives have not responded to requests for comment about the dismissal. However, it is important to note that Allen is still the subject of another unrelated lawsuit filed by a different individual who has accused him of sexual assault. This second lawsuit is still going forward, with Allen countering the allegations.

In the settled lawsuit, Allen was accused of rape, sexual assault, and harassment by his former day-to-day manager. She claimed that she was manipulated and groomed into an abusive sexual relationship by Allen. The alleged abuse began during a business trip in Los Angeles, where Allen was a celebrity guest on “American Idol.” The woman had accused Allen of rape, sexual battery, assault, false imprisonment, sex trafficking, and emotional distress. She stated that she believed these encounters were necessary to keep her job.

Allen denied all wrongdoing, stating that he had a consensual affair with the plaintiff. He acknowledged the sexual relationship lasting nearly two years but denied any accusations of wrongdoing. The plaintiff’s attorneys denied that she had asked for money prior to filing the lawsuit.

Since the lawsuits were filed, Allen has faced professional repercussions within the country music industry. He was dropped from various professional affiliations, including his label, management, agency, and publicist. Despite his successful rise in the industry with multiple No. 1 singles and awards, Allen’s career has been put on hold due to these allegations.

The country singer has not announced any upcoming tour dates and his website’s “Fan Club” page only states “Coming Soon.” Allen has maintained a presence on social media, where he recently shared an acoustic performance of a vulnerable song, reflecting on his current struggles.

As the second lawsuit continues, Allen’s career hangs in the balance. The outcome of these legal proceedings will have a significant impact on his future in the country music industry. Only time will tell how these allegations will affect his reputation and the trajectory of his career.
