Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Files Civil Lawsuit Over False Sexual Assault Allegations in $100 Million Extortion Plot

PLANO, Texas – Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has filed a civil lawsuit against a Fort Worth woman, accusing her of making a false sexual assault allegation in an attempt to extort $100 million from him. Prescott’s legal team submitted the lawsuit in Collin County on Monday, stating that he was the target of an extortion scheme and vehemently denies any nonconsensual sexual conduct.

According to Prescott’s attorney, Levi G. McCathern, the accuser and her legal team threatened to publicly disclose a fabricated story of sexual assault from almost a decade ago. They demanded immediate payment of $100 million from Prescott to avoid pressing false charges with the police. Prescott reported the defendant’s criminal actions to the authorities and is fully cooperating with the investigation.

McCathern emphasized that Prescott, who recently became a father, empathizes with survivors of sexual assault and believes in holding perpetrators accountable. The quarterback is seeking $1 million in relief from the court and intends to donate any recovered funds from the lawsuit to the Joyful Heart Foundation, which supports sexual assault survivors.

In response to the lawsuit, the defendant’s attorney, Bethel Zehaie, claimed that the sexual assault occurred outside XTC Cabaret in Dallas in 2017. Zehaie stated that her client did not work at the club and did not file a police report at the time. In a statement released Monday night, Zehaie called Prescott a liar and a rapist, insisting that he confirmed knowing the accuser and being with her on the night she was allegedly assaulted.

Prescott’s lawsuit includes details of an incident in Plano around February 2017, shortly after his rookie season. The woman’s attorney, in a letter dated January 16, asserted that Prescott showed his genitals to her during a car ride, used physical force, and sexually assaulted her once they were alone. The letter also mentioned the woman’s therapy sessions and the impact the incident had on her relationship. It proposed a monetary settlement of $100 million in exchange for her silence and forgoing criminal charges.

Notably, Prescott’s legal team stated that he never engaged in nonconsensual sexual conduct with anyone. The woman’s legal team mentioned that she plans to file her own criminal complaint. The Dallas Cowboys have not commented on the lawsuit.
