Landmark Verdict: $25 Million Awarded to Victim in Child Abuse Lawsuit Against New Jersey’s Division of Child Protection
New Brunswick, New Jersey – A Middlesex County jury has awarded a $25 million verdict against the state’s Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCCP) in a “horrific” case of child sexual abuse in foster homes. The verdict was reached on March 12 after a trial that began on Feb. 20 and was presided over by Superior Court Judge Patrick Bradshaw.
