Rapper YNW Melly Files Lawsuit for Immediate Release, Cites Severe Mistreatment in Broward Jail
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Rapper YNW Melly has filed a lawsuit demanding his release from prison on the grounds of cruel treatment and breaches of constitutional rights, according to legal documents submitted over the weekend by his attorney, Michael Pizzi Jr. YNW Melly, legally known as Jamell Demons, has been incarcerated since his arrest involving a 2018 double homicide case of two of his longtime friends.
