"St. Lawrence County Grand Jury Indicts Four in Drug and Assault Cases Amid Rising Local Crime"

CANTON, N.Y. — A St. Lawrence County Grand Jury has indicted several individuals on various charges, including assault and drug possession, as revealed in court documents made public on April 30.

Bruce L. Hall, 61, of Gouverneur, faces one count of second-degree assault. He is alleged to have injured another person using a deadly weapon or dangerous instrument around December 5 of the previous year.

In a separate case, Bonnie Jeror, 41, of Massena, has been indicted on multiple counts including third-degree and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, along with two counts of tampering with evidence. According to court filings, Jeror is accused of possessing cocaine and fentanyl with the intent to distribute and attempting to conceal this evidence through various means.

The incidents concerning Jeror occurred on or about March 25 in Morristown. This case also involves James Lago, 41, of Ogdensburg, who now faces a charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Lago is alleged to have unlawfully possessed a narcotic drug intending to sell it during the same time frame.

Dustin Watson, 39, of Massena, has also been indicted in this matter. He faces three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession, and one count of tampering with evidence. Court documents indicate that, like Jeror, Watson is accused of possessing fentanyl and cocaine with the intent to sell, while also attempting to hinder legal proceedings.

These indictments reflect heightened law enforcement efforts to address drug-related offenses in the region. Authorities are committed to combating the trafficking of dangerous substances and ensuring that offenders face the full extent of the law.
