MUNCIE, Ind. — A convicted murderer in Delaware Circuit Court has been denied a petition for a new trial after claiming prosecutorial misconduct. Marcus Hanyard, 29, was found guilty in February 2018 of murder, conspiracy to commit burglary, and unlawful possession of a firearm. On Feb. 9, 2017, Hanyard broke into the home of a well-known drug dealer in Muncie and fatally shot Zack Farmer in the head, chest, and legs.
