STEPHENVILLE, Texas – An indictment was handed down by an Erath County grand jury on Friday against a man accused of targeting and shooting a registered sex offender. Charles Austin Broyles, 30, now faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Captain Jeremy Lanier of the Stephenville Police Department.
