Denver, Colorado – Physicians for Social Responsibility and five Colorado advocacy groups have filed a lawsuit against Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, and four federal agencies to halt work on a trail through Rocky Flats National Wildlife Refuge. The lawsuit alleges violations of the National Environmental Policy Act by the U.S. departments of Transportation and the Interior, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Federal Highway Administration. PETE BEACH, Fla. – A group of St. Pete Beach residents has filed a lawsuit against the city, alleging that its response to the resignation of four city commissioners was an illegal attempt to bypass the democratic process. The lawsuit claims that the city’s decision to appoint replacements instead of holding a special election was inconsistent and biased. Amman, Jordan – A group of nearly 100 Chilean lawyers, mostly of Palestinian descent, has filed a complaint with the International Criminal Court (ICC) against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The complaint alleges crimes against humanity, genocide, and war crimes committed in Gaza. Led by former ambassador Nelson Hadad, lawyer Rodolfo Marcone, and academics Roberto Mayorga, Juan Banderas, and Hassan Zeran, the group presented the complaint on December 22 in The Hague, with assistance from criminal lawyer Juan Carlos Manriquez.
